Over the years MEDICUS Naturopathy and Acupuncture Clinic has utilized a close network of practitioners in
both the fields of orthodox and complementary medicine. This effectively means that Locum Practitioners are
involved on the premises and a solid base has been founded for onward referral of patients for specialized treatments

Acupuncture is part of a complex, integrated healing system and is used in the treatment of a variety of conditions including pain relief, muscular-skeletal injury, diseases of the eyes, nerves, muscles, heart, and the organs of digestion and reproduction.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles, frequently no thicker than a human hair, into specific points on the body. Chinese medicine theory holds that there are meridians or channels in the body through which energy flows.
There are specific acupuncture points in precise locations on each channel and they each have specific application in the treatment of disease patterns, or ‘patterns of disharmony’.
